Colocynth is another great pain remedy, indicated for pains following a humiliation with suppressed anger. The physical body reacts with a violent, cutting, stabbing and pinching pain, especially in the digestive tract or abdomen. The pain is relieved by strong pressure and heat, and by doubling up or bending forward. It is usually located on the left side. (If pain with the same qualities occurs on the right side, think about Mag. phos.)
Colocynth is also indicated in menstrual pains with the above symptoms, for left-sided functional ovary pain, and for left-sided sciatica (Hypericum is also good for this). |
