| Its common name, "eyebright" says it all: Euphrasia is a great eye remedy, especially for conjunctivitis with violent attacks of profuse secretion of hot, irritating tears with non-irritating nose secretion (see Allium cepa, which has the opposite types of discharge). These symptoms also correspond to some of the typical hayfever attacks. So allergic hayfever, stinging eyes, and dust or sand in the eyes are all good uses for eyebright. |
